Ground based and aerial magnetometry is conducted by measuring the local anomaly field using a magnetometer and examining the distribution of magnetic minerals in the near surface. The Magnetometry equipment collates data by measuring the Earth’s magnetic field to an extremely high precision at each survey point. It is an effective and efficient method to survey large areas for subsurface variations, in particular naturally occurring magnetic minerals to man-made ferrous objects.
