Induced Polarization (IP) is a widely used geophysical method within the mineral exploration and mining industry as it is the most responsive technique to low-grade disseminated mineralization. IP is also adopted in conducting environmental investigations and geotechnical engineering projects. IP surveys are similar to ERT surveys, however, in addition to recording the resistivity measurement, capacitive properties of the subsurface materials are also determined.
